expenditures and characteristics from a survey of over 115,000 US households in the US in 2003 (the
latest date with statistics available). The average household consisted of 2.5 persons, 0.6 under the
age of 18, 0.3 over the age of 65, with 1.3 earners and 1.9 vehicles. Sixty-seven percent of the
